Vijay has a successful record of over 15 years of HR experience in Asian markets, built on a strong foundation of HR experience in a variety of roles in banking and financial services.
Vijay headed the Singapore business for an international Search firm, responsible for P&L Management, business development, Client Engagement and mandate delivery of positions in Asia for all key sectors.
He has deep knowledge of talent availability in Corporate Banking, Consumer and Private Banking, and Insurance Industry along with Staff Group Functions in Asia; and in non-financial sectors such as Natural Resources (Mining), Oil & Gas and Power & Infrastructure and FMCG. He has successfully delivered mandates for C-Suite roles and other Regional Leadership positions across the Asia.
Vijay worked for over a decade in various roles in American Express. His responsibilities included consulting senior business leaders on organizational effectiveness strategies, talent & succession planning processes and supporting implementation of key HR initiatives. Later, Vijay worked in HSBC, Singapore as the Vice President for Corporate, Investment & Commercial Banking and Global Transaction Banking & Global Markets.
Vijay has the intrinsic ability to build strong collaborative relationships and proven competence in working with business leaders to deliver value-added outcomes. Having worked in MNCs in complex matrix-managed environments, he brings with him the astute skills in HR with an eye for Talent and an ability to provide business transformation expertise.
Vijay has a master’s degree in human resources management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, in India.
